Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, 26 September 2012: Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, announced signing a training agreement with Emirates Airline.  Starting in September 2012, GAA will deliver aviation training services and facilities for Emirates Airline flight crew.

The training is being conducted at the Academy’s facility in Muharraq, and the Emirates Airline pilots have started their training on GAA’s latest Airbus A330 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) as part of their ongoing training requirements.

On this occasion, Mahmood AlBalooshi, Chief Executive Officer of GAA, commented: “We are very pleased to have been selected to work in partnership with the Emirates Airline, one of the leading airlines in the world to deliver our aviation training solutions,”

GAA, Bahrain’s first aviation training academy, and one of the few internationally certified aviation training centers in the region, is a UK CAA TRTO and also has Bahrain CAA / DGCA / KDGCA / QCAA / GACA training approvals and offers a wide range of high quality aviation training solutions for the aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The Academy is also an IATA Regional Training Partner (RTP) and an Authorised Training Center (ATC).  Additionally, GAA has been recently recognised as a Top ten Middle East International Air Transport Association (IATA) Authorised Training Center (ATC) for 2012, in recognition of GAA’s outstanding contribution in developing human capital by reaching out to the next generation of leaders in the evolving air transport industry in the MENA region.
